Chris is a qualified CIMA accountant. After a successful career in industry as a Finance Director for companies in the Logistics and Communications sectors, Chris started CMA in 2007 with the aim of adding value to companies, supporting them as they grow and providing efficient tax strategies.

As the business owner, Chris takes a hands on approach to client services in addition to developing the practice so that it stays at the forefront of new technology and ensures the team is fully equipped to meet the demand of modern business.

Away from the office, as well as looking after his 2 dogs, Chris is keen on skiing, sailing and the occasional game of golf.

Roanna joined CMA Accountancy back in August 2014. Prior to joining CMA, Roanna completed her A-Levels at Winstanley College with a particular focus in business studies. Roanna has successfully completed her full AAT qualification since joining CMA, and is currently studying her ACCA exams to become a chartered accountant. Starting out as an apprentice, Roanna has developed into a full account manager handling all matter of affairs for her portfolio of clients, often supporting clients as they have developed into larger businesses.

Outside of the office, Roanna continues to enjoy dancing, something she has been passionate about since her youth and has now advanced to teaching dancing to young children.

Niamh began her journey at CMA in July 2022 as a trainee accountant. Before joining CMA, Niamh completed an apprenticeship in Business and Administration with West Lancashire College. Currently studying her AAT exams with Runshaw College, Niamh is looking to continue through to becoming a fully qualified chartered accountant in the future.

In her spare time Niamh enjoys keeping active by going to the gym, walking her dog, socialising with her friends and family and also works part-time at a hotel where she has worked since she was 16 years old.

Joining CMA Accountancy in March 2018, Emma is an AAT qualified accountant with nearly 30 years’ experience. Initially, working in industry for various companies in the retail, manufacturing and leisure sectors, Emma decided to see what life was like on the other side of the fence, and moved into a role working in practice. A dedicated full-service account manager boasting strong relationships with her portfolio of clients, Emma is a key aspect of the CMA team.

In her own time, Emma enjoys taking her dogs on walks, getting stuck into a book, keeping active with Yoga and HIIT classes at the gym or at home, and most important of all, spending time with her family and friends.

In February 2023, Jess joined CMA Accountancy as an ICAS qualified chartered accountant, having completed her training while working at PwC, in Edinburgh. With a background in audit, Jess to brings a new outlook and perspective to the team as well as experience across a variety of sectors and companies of different sizes.

When not working, Jess enjoys spending days out with her family, including her two young children.

Myles joined in September 2021 as a trainee accountant. Before coming to work for CMA, Myles studied a vocational Business Studies course at St. John Rigby College, and during his time there actually had a work experience placement with our team in 2019. In the future Myles aims to be a fully qualified chartered accountant, and is beginning by studying the AAT qualification and progressing through this qualification before advancing further.

Outside of the office Myles likes to keep active by attending the gym, as well as playing football. In addition to playing football, Myles also enjoys to watch the game too and is a supporter of his local Wigan Athletic.
